RN or Public Health Nurse

Houston County is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse or Public Health Nurse who is resourceful, creative and can work independently. The primary area of responsibility is maternal and child health.  

This position requires current licensure or eligibility to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Minnesota. To be classified as a Public Health Nurse, the successful candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher in nursing and certification as a Public Health Nurse in MN or the ability to obtain such certification within 90 days of hire.  A valid driver’s license and reliable means of transportation are required and the individual must be able travel to multiple locations around Houston County.  Minnesota residency is NOT required.

Prior experience working in a federal, state, or local governmental public health agency; working with families, individuals and the community desired.

Annual starting salaries up to $72,883.20 for RN and $77,064.00 for PHN, depending on qualifications. Compensation also includes a competitive benefits package including paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays; a retirement program; and health and life insurance availability.
