Public Health Nurse

Houston County is seeking a full-time Public Health Nurse who is resourceful, creative and can work independently. The primary area of responsibility is maternal and child health.  

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher in nursing and current licensure or eligibility to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Minnesota. (The individual must possess the ability to obtain certification in Minnesota as a Public Health Nurse within 90 days of hire.)  A valid driver’s license and reliable means of transportation are required and the individual must be able travel to multiple locations around Houston County.  Minnesota residency is NOT required.

Experience working in a federal, state, or local governmental public health agency; working with families, individuals and the community.

Starting salary up to $72,633.60, depending on qualifications. Compensation also includes a competitive benefits package including paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays; a retirement program; and health and life insurance availability.
